ECPR Section on Knowledge and Governance: Call for Papers

15 Dec 2014

Following a very stimulating series of panels at ECPR Glasgow in 2014, we are delighted to announce a call for papers and panels for a second section on 'Knowledge and Governance', for the ECPR Conference in Montreal, August 2015.

The section provides a forum for a growing body of research examining the relationship between knowledge, monitoring and policy in the context of global and European governance. It aims to attract scholars whose research explores the role of ideas in the making of policy; the political uses of expertise and knowledge; the social construction of policy problems and responses; the transnationalisation of knowledge networks; and political science, sociological or ethnographic studies of the tools, actors and organisations involved in the production and utilisation of such knowledge in policymaking. The section has been allocated 6 panels. You can read about the section and propose a paper or panel here:

The deadline for proposals is 16th February 2015.  Please forward this call to any contacts you think might be interested.
