Join us for an informal SKAPE research seminar with Erik Baekkeskov, Associate Professor of Public Policy at the University of Melbourne. Erik’s work explores how scientists leverage policymaking power when they gain it, drawing on empirical cases from public health crises such as pandemics and antimicrobial resistance. In this session, Erik will provide a 30-minute overview of his research on scientific power, followed by an open discussion on how these ideas can be extended to other policy domains and theoretical frameworks. This is a great opportunity to engage in collaborative thinking and explore new avenues for research.
